MIKE PYLE VS RICARDO ALMEIDA ON TAP FOR UFC 128 IN NEW JERSEY
A welterweight match-up has been added to the upcoming UFC 128 card in New Jersey as Mike Pyle and Ricardo Almeida have agreed to meet on the March 19 show.
Mike Pyle is coming from defeating young gun, John Hathaway at UFC 120 in England. Pyle spoiled his homecoming by dominating the Brit and earinig a unanimous decision victory.
Ricardo Almeida will look to make it 2-0 in New Jersey as he fights in his adopted home state for the second time in a just under a year. He defeated Matt Brown in New Jersey last year.
The bout between Pyle and Almeida is expected to fill part of the televised portion of the card set to go down on March 19 with headliners Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Rashad Evans leading the way for the show.

UFC 120: JOHN HATHAWAY KNOWS HOW TO COUNTER MIKE PYLE
UFC welterweight rising star, John Hathaway, speaks about his opponent at UFC 120, Mike Pyle. He knows what Pyle will attempt to do, and already knows how to counter him.
“I know what he likes to work for, and I just work to counter that and use my own attributes. I don’t think about him in odd situations or anything like that! I just get on with my training because I know that on the night I’m going to get to face him. I do think about him though.”
“I love the competitiveness. I’m quite competitive by nature. I’ve got two older brothers and we always competed when we were growing up in football and rugby. I just want to be successful in this sport and hopefully be the best – that’s what I’m striving for.”
Hathaway really made a name for himself when he defeated “Ultimate Fighter” season one winner, Diego Sanchez at UFC 114 in May.
